　　What is biomass? Biomass is a widely existing substance on the earth. It includes not only animals, plants and microorganisms themselves, but also other organic matter derived, excreted and metabolized by these living substances. Every biomass has energy. With biomass as a carrier, the energy produced by biomass is biomass energy. Biomass energy is mainly a form of energy stored in organisms in the form of chemical energy from solar energy, derived from photosynthesis of plants. The energy consumed by photosynthesis of plants on the earth accounts for 0.2% of the total radiant energy irradiated by the sun to the earth. Although this ratio is not large, it is shocking because the energy consumed by photosynthesis is 40 times the current total human energy consumption. It can be seen that biomass energy is a great energy source. The main sources of biomass energy are firewood, livestock manure, sugar crops, urban sewage, aquatic plants, etc.
