First, it wastes fuel and reduces the thermal efficiency of the boiler. When the boiler has scale, the heat transfer performance of the heating surface of the boiler becomes worse. The heat released by fuel combustion cannot be transferred to the boiler water. The flue gas is taken away, resulting in an increase in the temperature of the exhaust gas, an increase in the heat loss of the exhaust gas, and a decrease in the thermal efficiency of the boiler.

　　Secondly, affecting the safe operation of the boiler, boiler scale is often generated on the heating surface of the boiler with a high thermal load. Due to the poor thermal conductivity of scale, the local temperature of the metal pipe wall is greatly increased. Moreover, scale will reduce the boiler output; after the boiler is scaled, due to the deterioration of the heat transfer performance, to reach the boiler's rated evaporation capacity or rated heat production, more fuel needs to be consumed. However, as the thickness of the fouling increases and the grate area of ​​the furnace volume is fixed, fuel consumption is limited, so the output of the boiler will decrease.
