How does a biomass-burning pellet fuel boiler work?

23 Jul, 2021

After the biomass combustion pellets are produced, the corresponding fuel boiler is naturally needed to support the use. Is the operation mode of this fuel boiler the same as the original one, and how does it work?

  1. The biomass combustion particles are evenly spread on the upper grate from the feeding port or the upper part. After ignition, the induced draft fan is turned on, and the volatilization in the fuel is analyzed.

  2. The flame burns downwards, quickly forming a high temperature zone in the area formed by the unburned zone and the hanging grate, which creates conditions for continuous and stable fire, which is smaller than the upper grate gap and has burned out hot fuel and unburned Of particles.

  3. Under the action of the induced draft fan and gravity, it will fall down while burning. It will fall on the suspended grate with a high temperature for a while and then continue to fall, and fall onto the lower grate. The incompletely burned fuel particles will continue. The burned ash particles fall into the ash hopper of the ash discharging device from the lower grate. When the ash accumulates to a certain height, the ash discharging gate is opened and discharged together.

  4. In the process of fuel falling, the secondary air distribution port is supplemented with a certain amount of oxygen for suspension combustion. The oxygen provided by the tertiary air distribution port is used for combustion on the lower grate, and the completely burned flue gas passes through the flue gas outlet to convection heating noodle.

  5. Large particles of smoke and dust are thrown into the ash hopper due to inertia when they pass the partition upwards, and the smaller dust is blocked by the dust removal baffle net and most of them fall into the ash hopper. Only part of the very fine particles enters the convective heating surface, which greatly reduces The fouling on the convective heating surface improves the heat transfer effect.

This is the main process of using biomass combustion particles for the combustion of fuel boilers. From this process, we can also see that this new fuel can burn more fully and achieve higher heat transfer effects.
