Causes of blockage and material blocking in biomass boilers

  When using biomass boilers, we have encountered boiler blockage and material blockage. In general, there are four main reasons for the material blockage and material blockage of biomass boilers:

  First of all, it is caused by uneven fuel blending, and layered accumulation of fuel during blending, and the linear screw feeder cannot blend uniformly when feeding, and a single fuel enters the silo.

  Secondly, the moisture content of the biomass fuel used exceeds the design specification. Excessive fuel moisture can easily cause adhesion, increase the bulk density, and decrease the porosity. As a result, the silo will accumulate and compact, forming a pile-up wall, and produce tents. The material, especially when a single screw cannot run, is more obvious.

  Thirdly, if there are too many long fibers in the fuel, it is very easy to cause fuel adhesion and mass connection. The biomass boiler enters the silo and water cooling jacket to form a material plug, which causes the feeder resistance to increase and the current to increase.

  The last aspect is that the particle size of the fuel directly affects the operation of the reclaimer and the feeder. The smaller the fuel particles, the greater the density, and the easier it is to produce material and blockage.

  As long as you understand the above aspects and pay more attention when burning the boiler, the problem of material jam in the biomass boiler will be solved.
